What inputs do I prepare

Before asking for creative direction, I prepare the data of the latest content: format, topic, date, reach, saves, shares, profile views, replies and commercial result when it is available. I add screenshots of my contents and, only if necessary, external public references.

For each image, write what it represents and what you want to analyze: hierarchy, rhythm, type of opening, text density, use of the face, relationship between visual and promise. A generic request like “analyze style” produces generic observations.

How to do research without copying?

Use references to extract principles, not elements to replicate. “Title very readable in the first two seconds” is a principle; “use the same colors, the same phrase and the same framing” is a copy.

If you do external research, ask for sources and dates. Open the links and check that they really describe the phenomenon. Don't assume that Gemini can see private content, Insights, or an entire profile from just one username.

How does the multimodal workflow work?

Operational schemeData, images, decisions
  1. ExportInsights, context and observed results
  2. ShowAnnotated screenshots and relevant references
  3. DescribeVisual and narrative patterns without invented causalities
  4. ChooseManagement consistent with promise and resources
  5. HeadVariants monitored for four weeks
Visual materials are described with explicit criteria; the brand decides which patterns are consistent and testable.

What prompts to use with Gemini?

Prompt 1: Analyze data and screenshots

Prompt to useMultimodal matrix
Analyze the results table and attached screenshots.

For each content create a card with:
- elements observable in the image;
- opening structure;
- explicit promise;
- publication format and context;
- results available;
- hypothesis as to why, clearly labeled;
- data necessary to verify the hypothesis.

Don't infer causality from correlations. If information is not legible or was not provided, state so. Close with a maximum of 5 patterns to test.

Why do I use this prompt: This prompt separates what is visible from what is interpreted, avoiding attributing performance to a single graphic detail.

Prompt 2: Compare directions with examples

Prompt to useThree visual systems, not three mood boards
Instagram Goal: [insert].
Brand Promise: [insert].
Approved Patterns: [insert].
Vincoli: [tempo, persone, strumenti, accessibilità].

FORMAT EXAMPLE
Direzione: “Dimostrazione guidata”
Principio: mostrare il processo prima del risultato
Constant elements: face, numbered passage, proof
Variable elements: theme and scenario
Rischio: diventare didascalica
Test: 4 contenuti confrontabili

Create 3 different directions using the same format. For each it indicates consistency with the promise, ease of production, mobile readability and expected behavior. Do not reproduce visual identities of other profiles.

Why do I use this prompt: The examples serve to define the structure of the output. The prompt calls for repeatable systems connected to the brand, not aesthetic collages.

Prompt 3: Design a testing schedule

Prompt to useControlled variants
Use the approved direction and design 4 weeks of testing.

Define 3 families: discovery, insight, relationship. For each content it indicates question, format, constant visual element, unique variable tested, CTA and primary metric.

Create comparable pairs and don't change the theme, duration, opening and CTA at the same time. At the end specify which conclusions will not be possible with this sample.

Why do I use this prompt: This prompt builds readable comparisons: changes one variable at a time and links each content to a question.

How to read the test?

Don't look for an "overall winner." One direction may work for discovery and another for conversations. See the consistency of signals across multiple pieces of content and note external factors: collaboration, promotion, exceptional event, day or theme.

What works

Advantages

  • It holds data and visual references together
  • Makes test patterns and variables explicit
  • Examples stabilize output format and depth
What to check

Limits

  • Incomplete screenshots lead to partial readings
  • A visual correlation does not prove cause
  • The available sources and functions must be checked

To focus on voice and textual materials use the Instagram strategy with Claude. To quickly build address books and calendar from available data, read the guide with ChatGPT.

Frequently asked questions

Can Gemini analyze an Instagram strategy?

It can organize data, references, and multimodal materials if provided, but does not automatically see Insights or private content.

What are visual examples for?

They serve to make rhythm, hierarchies and visual codes concrete. They should not be used to copy, but to describe transferable patterns.

How do you check sources?

Ask for URL and date for each external statement, then open sources and separate facts, interpretations and hypotheses.
